History
| Personal History | Ron grew up with a farming family in Ireland who proudly grow and harvest potatoes to serve many of the Restaurants on earth. His family of the whole expected him to remain in Ireland and continue the family business, however Ron had better ideas, and had his sights set on the Stars. To that end Ron joined Star Fleet and majored in Strategic Operations at the Academy, perhaps still having eyes set on home and wishing to in some small way defend them. Once he left the academy he worked his way through the ranks passing from posting to posting. During the Dominion war he was stationed as Chief of Security on the USS Jubilee. He lead an away mission to a planet surface where he believed he lost all of his team to Jem'Hadar soldiers who had been using the planet as a training ground. He never forgave himself for the loss of his team, who he considered friends. This changed his attitude toward his work, and from then on distanced himself from his team, choosing to lead from a distance, and never allow relationships to cloud his judgement. Later he was stationed on Langley Station as Executive Officer where he received an unusual communication via subspace. It appeared as if it were his old team. Though he could think of 100 different explanations that an old message might of gotten to him late, he had to be sure and organised an unsanctioned trip back to the planet where his team had been lost in search of them, along with a few willing volunteers from the station. Whilst on the planet a second time he got separated from his new team and fell into a subspace anomaly where he found himself trapped with his old team unable to escape, or be found. He spent months with his team working out ways to get back to the normal dimension, and after many failed attempts, they managed to send another subspace message to Star Fleet this time with clear warnings. They were later rescued by the USS Lopez and now Ron finds himself with a demotion for his unsanctioned mission, and taking a new role at Langley Station |
