| Personal History | Being the only son of a single mother, Thomas was born and raised on a small town in the north of Luxembourg, Earth. He was the product of a onetime liaison. His childhood was relatively ordinary, growing up in a rural town. When he was seventeen he saw his mother die from an unknown decease. During the months of her illness he cared for her. When there was nothing more to do to save her he felt so helpless. He decided then and there that he wanted to whatever he could to help other. Having always had good grades at school he was able to apply to Starfleet soon after and got accepted. After his four years at the academy he got placed on the USS Olympia, to completely his residency. Upon finishing his residency he was promoted to Lieutenant JG. A year later the Nightingale was send to a planet in the former Cardassian Demilitarized Zone to aid in the aftermath of a flood. The ships stayed in orbit of the planet for a few weeks to help the survivors of the planet. During those weeks Thomas met a local woman, Nala Keved. One thing led to another and Thomas decided to stay on the planet. 8 months later his daughter Gila was born. In 2387, just after the Hobus star went supernova and destroyed Romulus, Thomas was recalled by Starfleet. Since their marriage wasn't going very well for some time now he decided to go back to Starfleet. Even though he would miss his little girl terribly, it would be better for all three of them. Gila had inspired him to finally make a decision upon his specialty, so while serving on board the USS Centaur as ACMO he spend all of his time off studying so he could specialize in pediatrics. It took him 4 years to complete his studies. He continued to serve on the Centaur, while he waited for a transfer where he could work as a pediatrician instead of general medicine. In 2395 that request was honored and he received a transfer to the Nightingale. |
