| Personal History | Born 9 May 2373. He grew up on Colony world, attended normal schools and participated in sports. His parents added him to martial art classes to help his flexibility and confidence. His mom jogged every morning and he began running with her at age twelve. Between sports, part time jobs, martial arts, he was always busy. At age sixteen he used the money he earned to get piloting lessons. he was hooked on flying from his first moment behind a joystick. His younger brother was wild and carefree, the girls all liked him and he did okay at most tasks once he got serious about completing them. For Mark, his biggest problem was being four years younger then his older brother. Because Duffy set a high mark in about every area. The Colony was well developed but there were still vast areas of wild country. Hunting, fishing, and camping were normal activities. The wild game also supplemented the food supply of many households. Most of the families here were normal work a-day folk who just sought to avoid the crowds on more developed planets. When Duffy applied for Starfleet Academy he was admitted on the first attempt as his scores were excellent. He had the support of one of his coaches as well, a retired Fleet LtCommander who coached many of the sports Duffy was involved in. |
